This was nothing more than an Obama Bashing!!!! This was the most biased pathetic debate that I have seen, and I have watched all 21 debates. The first 38 minutes was devoted to throwing every neg. thing they could at Senator Obama. It actually looked staged between the commentators and Senator Clinton.
I think you have underestimated the American people and this will backfire!!!

This so-called debate was totally BIASED! This debate was BOUGHT BY THE CLINTONS. Georgie had no business asking anything since he worked for the Clintons and is probably still on their payroll. Charlie, well he's just an idiot! ABC should be ASHAMED for approving of this Obama Bashing!!

No Comment...I live in PA and i'm embrassed...that if you stand ready, willing and able to discus issues and solutions not gutter politics. Everyone keeps saying that the gutter issues (which I will not dignify by listing) will be re-introduced by the GOP. Then let them. The Dems should focus on the issues Americans want to discuss - high gas prices, the housing crisis, the war in Iraq, social security, and a host of other topics the next president will face. This debate was a disgrace. And our city officals should be outraged, but most of them where rallying in the front row for their candidate. I'D LIKE TO APOLOGIZE TO ALL FROM PA.

I thought Hillary did a good job during the debate. I found her answers to be more direct than Obamas. Her experience & maturity shows.

WOW - bitter Obama supports reacting to what clearly was a defensive and weak perforamce by Barack last night. When pressed on truly contraversial issues (which the GOP will use in the general), he tried to appear above the line by implying that these questions are more of the same old politics he's against. REALLY?? Does he expect us to believe that? Has anyone read the transcripts from the daily media conference calls where the Obama camp brings up the same kind of "trash talk" about Hillary? He's a Washingon politician just like all of them...pull the wool off your eyes. If I have to choose a Washington politician (which is our choice in all three candidated), I'd prefer one that has some experience in playing the game, and who doesn't appear weak under fire.

Why Clinton? Well, for one thing she'll get us back to a stable, prosperous economy. Also, in addition to her much superior qualifications, she's ready with well-thought-out plans to effectively address our problems. Her in-depth knowledge & experience are real; she's not a product of a massive public relations campaign. We need a president now with the solid experience & prepared plans to move us quickly in the right direction, & a nominee with qualifications for a viable candidacy. The only one qualified to fulfill these needs and to successfully lead us to a robust & peaceful future is Clinton.

Sharon - many feel Hillary did a better job because she was fed the questions before the debate. Regardless - I do not trust Hillary at all. She is corporate-owned and will look out for the interestes of those corporations before us "regular" folks. I think she is just trying to say what blue-collar folks want to hear and will then stab them in the back.

Ya know wdavis1970; If you listened in the very beginning when the 2 moderators said that they flipped a coin to see who would go first, Obama lost the toss and he had to go first.

Now for the first time Obama had to go first in a debate and he flopped. So now you people are doing nothing but making up excuses. Only because he couldn't feed off of her answers.

If Obama was mature and had the experience that is needed for these debates he could have turned it around, but he didn't.

By refuesing to debate, the republicans are going to have a field day with that. If he is flopping now in the debates because he has to go first with out feeding off of the other persons answers; that just proves a point!

Terry, I believe you have that wrong. I believe Hillary won the coin toss and chose to go first, which I found very funny that night, because she always complains about going first......lol.

I pulled up the transcript and all it shows is that Obama went first with his opening statement. I do not think he flopped at all, regardless. I thought he handled himself very well, considering they attacked him many times over than they did Clinton.

Americans, overall, are too intelligent to vote for Obama.

Hey maybe BO deserved to be questioned during the debate, he had a lot of negatve stuff come out about him lately, no it isnt as important as our wrecked economy, but people want to hear a real definitive answer to his separatist and far-left leanings. And you know Clinton has been discussing the real issues all along. She actually has formed ideas about real issues, if you took the time to listen to her. BO simply takes what is offered as a suggestion and then runs with it like its his idea. That is what makes him a good orator or debater, but not presidential material. Have you noticed that he wont answer questions directly,? Yet he is talking 'change' and 'no politics as usual'. Well Ive been around long enough to know that that evasiveness is exactly politics as usual and is the opposite of change.
