More Discrimination Against Christians...No image available

Christians in the USA generally cannot adopt Christian children from many non-Hague nations e.g. Iraq and Egypt come to mind. Never mind that thousands of Christians have been murdered in Iraq since sectarian violence erupted during the Iraq War and presumably some of them left children who would benefit from having parents. Or that an estimated 1 out of every 10 Egyptians was born a Christian (Egypt was a center of Christianity after the death of Christ so there are a large number of Coptic Christians living there.)

The State Department "will not allow" Americans to adopt from Iraq according to one adoption website.

The Hague Conventions (allegedly implemented to curtail illicit or black market adoptions) have effectively blocked Americans from adopting Christian children who are without parents in many nations. Who do YOU think deserves the most credit (or blame) for this situation?

Why do you always focus on Christian rather than humane issues. The child can be Christian, Jewish, or Muslim….
