Urine or You're outts2.mm.bing.net

I have a job.

I work, they pay me.

I pay my taxes & the government distributes my taxes as it sees fit.

In order to get that paycheck I am required to pass a random urine test (with which I have no problem).

What I do have a problem with is the distribution of my taxes to people who don't have to pass a urine test.

So, here is my question:
Shouldn't one have to pass a urine test to get a welfare check since I have to pass one to earn the money that's redistributed to them?

Please understand, I have no problem with helping people who need help to get back on their feet. I do, on the other hand, have a problem with helping someone sitting on their BUTT----doing drugs while I work.

Can you imagine how much money each state would save? I guess we could call the program "URINE OR YOU'RE OUT"!

P.S. Just a thought, maybe all politicians should have to pass a urine test too!.... and an intelligence test, a common sense test and an understanding the constitution test!!!

Excellent post Call!!! I agree 100% That should go for everyone who gets paid by our tax dollars including Govt. from the top down without being able to "buy-off" the testers. Makes you really wonder what the obobo's are really smoking, running, sniffing, etc. Probably all of the above.

@lightdude

Including home owners that get the homeowner mortgage interest deduction that supplements our incomes so we can afford the homes we live in?

Kip Smith, a Republican state congressman from Georgia and sponsor of a bill that would have submitted all welfare recipients to random drug testing, was arrested Friday night for driving under the influence of alcohol.

According to a police report, Smith first blew a .091, and later a .100 and a .099, all above the legal limit of .08. He also failed a "walk-and-turn" test and a "one-leg-stand" field sobriety test.

@DSLDSGN, so, you argue against drug and alcohol tesing by giving and example of how it works to help society. Kinda dumb argument, isn't it?

@945call

Not sure how you thought this was an argument, but I forget - you ALWAYS think people are arguing with you even if they agree with you!

Please tell me where the words are that indicate you agree with the proposition of this post that welfare should not be provided to drugies. It seems very clear to me that you were attempting to undercut the proposed drug testing law by defaming the person who proposed the law.

There isn't any logic in that attempt but you certainly weren't supporting me!

If you don't have a job exactly how are you buying drugs. You can’t get drugs on credit. When you apply for and get government aide just basic common sense tells you there are two things that come first. Shelter and food. Government assistance is not even equal to minimum wage so there isn't any money left over for drugs. In addition, every single state that test for drugs has found less than 1% of any recipients using drugs. So you are protesting something that doesn't exist idiot.

Now, as for the redistribution of money - every home owner gets a tax credit equal to the total amount of interest they paid on the mortgage for their home and up to five vacation homes. During the first 7 years of a mortgage, 90% of all monthly payments go to the interest on the mortgage. Should home owners now be required to take drug test because we received this tax credit which in effect is supplementing our incomes and enables us to afford the homes we live in?

@hank10303 says "If you don't have a job exactly how are you buying drugs. You can’t get drugs on credit."

Can you really be this naive Mr. New York? Have you ever heard the phrase "breaking and entering" or "armed Robery" or.. oh never mind , you aren't worth the time to do the typing. Damn you are OBTUSE!
