By Larissa Dudkiewicz Email the author January 29, 2012 Pittsburgh Catholic Bishop David Zubik Friday joined a growing segment of religious leaders speaking out against the Obama administration’s new law that requires religious employers to offer health plans covering free contraceptives. In an open letter titled "To Hell With You," Zubik on Friday characterized some of the mandates in the administration’s Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act as a "slap in the face" and...

First of all Jews are not part of this silly debate. The Jewish community is not like the Catholic community. Most of them actually strive to be good Jews; most Catholic's, including its priest are Catholic's in name only. Second, if you believe you can commit any sins on the planet you want and then go to a man to be absolved of your sins; then yeah you believe just about anything. The fact is if you are so Catholic and don't believe in birth control then no one is forcing you to purchase them. It’s called "PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY". Seems like the Catholic church doesn’t have much faith in its teachings.

@hank10303

If you are forced to buy an insurance policy that supports killing viable humans or the use of contraceptives, forbidden by your religion, (and we do still have religious freedom in this country) your fees are pooled with all others insured by your carrier to pay for those who will use those services. That is the problem.

I have to find a word that describes you better than OBTUSE but until I do you are now officially Obtuse Hank!

What's the meaning of religious outfits wanting to deny contraceptive. Abortion okay I can appreciate their views, what's up with preventing unwanted pregnancies and potential diseases. I mean what comes first the want to have sex or the need to use contraceptives.

Is being on contraceptives going to encourage sex? I find that hard to believe.

The benefits far outweigh the moral issues here.

What about married people are they only suppose have sex when they intend to have children.

'Contraception is a sin! Obomo would prevent unborn babies from coming to being! Murder!' Or then again maybe...

@jmrkaa, finish the sentence. Maybe what? Maybe killing the unborn child in a woman's womb won't be what haunts her on her death bed? Maybe our society will one day figure out the there isn't much difference between a third trimester fetus and a one-month old baby, so long as it's for the good of the woman who would have had to care for it.

What's your maybe?

First, They Came for the Catholics
Creators Syndicate, by Michelle Malkin Original Article
President Obama and his radical feminist enforcers have had it in for Catholic medical providers from the get-go. It's about time all people of faith fought back against this unprecedented encroachment on religious liberty. First, they came for the Catholics. Who's next? This weekend, Catholic bishops informed parishioners of the recent White House edict forcing religious hospitals, schools, charities and other health and social service providers to provide "free" abortifacient pills, sterilizations and contraception on demand in their insurance plans -- even if it violates their moral consciences and the teachings of their churches.
