Mitt Romney: 'I’m not concerned about the very poor'

politico.com —
Mitt Romney said Wednesday he’s “not concerned about the very poor.”
Romney told CNN’s Soledad O’Brien during a morning interview after his Florida primary win that his focus is on the middle class — and not on the “very poor.”
“I’m in this race because I care about Americans. I’m not concerned about the very poor — we have a safety net there,” he said Wednesday. “If it needs repair, I’ll fix it. I’m not concerned about the very rich — they’re doing just fine. I’m concerned about the very heart of America, the 90-95 percent of Americans who right now are struggling.”
O’Brien jumped in, asking him to clarify his statement that he’s not concerned with the very poor. “I think there are lots of very poor Americans who are struggling who would say, ‘That sounds odd,’” she said.
“Well, you had to finish the sentence, Soledad,” Romney replied. “I said, I’m not concerned about the very poor that have a safety net, but if it has holes in it, then I will repair it.”

What's wrong with what he said? The very poor have education, food, housing, medical care and, as a result, little interest in working to move up. He said if there was a hole in the safety net, he'd fix it. Where is the problem?
If Obama said the same thing you'd be praising him, even though with Obama, it would be just some more snake oil!

The Wall St candidate cares a lot more about how it goes among the rich and especially the super-rich 0,01% making over 9 million/year.

What causes the mental disorder in liberals? Too much sugar in their Koolaid? Retardation at birth or indoctrination in the government controlled schools they attended? Seems strange that so many join the NUTTER party. 47% of the leeches and moochers in Obama's society are in fact living off the government welfare safety net and are protected by the nanny state. I am not a Romney fan, but think he nailed this. Not his usual politically correct liberal statement.

As Romney said, the very poor have the goverment saftey net to take care of them. The very rich have resources to take care of them. It is working Americans that have nothing but taxes to pay for the saftey net and prop up the rich.
This is just another example of of the stupity of the attacks on Romney.
