redstate.com — The April unemployment report brought attention to the millions of Americans suffering in silence as a result of President Obama’s failed economic policies.

The Romney campaign has released a new video “Silence” highlighting the terribly disappointing April unemployment report:No wonder that during his so-called official start to his reelection campaign, President Obama told Americans not to ask if they are better off than they were four years ago, but how they’ll be tomorrow.

Only 115,000 jobs were added in April, far fewer than the 180,000 economists were expecting. The reason the unemployment rate declined slightly to 8.1 percent and the broader “U-6″ measure remained at 14.5 percent is because 342,000 more people gave up looking for work and quit the labor force.

As Mitt Romney said, “It’s still about the economy…and we’re not stupid.”:

The unemployment rate has remained above 8 percent for 39 straight months.
Only 115,000 jobs were created in April, which is the smallest monthly jobs gain in five months. Hiring has now slowed in three straight months.
The labor force participation rate declined in April to 63.6 percent, which is its lowest level since 1981.
If the size of the U.S. labor force as a share of the total population was the same as it was when Barack Obama took office—65.7% then vs. 63.6% today—the unemployment rate would be 11.1%.
When President Obama pushed through his $800-billion stimulus bill, his administration claimed unemployment would drop to 5.9 percent by April 2012.
22.8 million Americans remain unemployed or underemployed, or are only marginally attached to the workforce.
Millions of Americans are suffering in silence as a result of President Obama’s failed economic policies. No, they are not satisfied.

Is the elite liberal media being dishonest by not reporting how bad the economy under Obama truly is?
Yes, they do all they can to paint a rosy picture hoping the naive and gullible will buy the fantasy. A lie is as good as the truth if you can find people dumb enough to believe it.

No, they just want the masses to keep believing in Obama's "Hoax & Chains" and looking for the day they will be living in the socialist UTOPIA with all the unicorns and rainbows. Communism really can work with the right people in charge.

Unemployment Explained: Obama's Disability Scammers

In the last year, the civilian population rose by 3,638,000. Yet the labor force only rose by 945,000. Those not in the labor force rose by 2,693,000.

In the last month, actual employment fell by 169,000, but the unemployment rate dropped by .1%.

That is an amazing "achievement" to say the least.

How did Obama do this magic trick of moving unemployment from a high of 10 percent to 8.1 percent without adding, you know, jobs?People who qualify for SSDI are automatically excluded from the workforce, meaning that you can actually have an economy losing jobs while technically the unemployment rate will go down as more people received disability benefits and are subtracted from the workforce.

Social Security Disability is a picture perfect program scam for the Obama administration. It allows Obama to say that unemployment is going down, while adding to the rolls of people who are dependent on some sort of Democrat-Party enabled government assistance.

Prior to these revelations, I had thought that the country’s workforce was shrinking because persistent joblessness was causing people to stop looking for work. In other words, I though it was just another example of Obama’s economic incompetence.

I'm confused Stay Free? What good news? Your elite liberal media wing is spinning for all they're worth, but too many people are smart enough to see through the B.S.

The best news I saw was the disappointing turnout for the Obama kickoff lecture in Columbus, ohio an armpit of liberalism.

Lies, Damned Lies and Government Jobs Data

There is lots of talk about the “fiscal cliff” the U.S. faces at year end, as stimulus and tax cuts go away.

So the last thing the government needs now is market distrust in its job numbers. But, as analysts dig into the government job numbers, questions are increasingly being raised about the reliability of the data, from questionable revisions in the weekly jobless numbers to the odd changes in unemployment rates.

For 59 out of the last 60 weeks, the weekly jobless numbers have been revised, after the fact, always in the same direction: higher. That’s unheard of.

Those revisions higher make the present week’s unemployment number look better in comparison, more so since the markets often treat the prior week’s revision as an afterthought.

And there is statistical manipulation in the unemployment rate, too. The government’s reported unemployment number doesn’t include people who stopped looking for work, but who want jobs.
