Limbaugh: Under Democrats ‘Uncle Tom’s Cabin’ Rewritten as ‘Uncle Sam’s Cabin’

nation.foxnews.com — On his Thursday program, conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh explained his theory on why President Obama didn't show up in person at the NAACP convention in Houston.

“The drive-bys are trying to figure out why Obama dissed the brothers and the sisters at the NAALCP because they can’t find an obvious political explanation for it,” Limbaugh said, tacking on an “l” for “liberal” to the organization’s name.

“All they got to do is listen to me — Obama doesn’t have the guts to show up. He’s got no story to tell. He can’t go up there and say, ‘You want four more years of this?’ ‘Working together,’ ‘we can make it even better’ — he can’t say anything like that. There’s not one positive he can before that group and say. So he has to send the underlings in there and present this tale about how they’re all out after Obama.”

Limbaugh added that Obama and his party have wrongfully supported policies that keep African-Americans dependent on the government.

“You remember the book ‘Uncle Tom’s Cabin?’” Limbaugh continued. “The Democrats of old fought to keep blacks living on the plantation, ‘Uncle Tom’s Cabin.’ We need to revise that. Now Democrats fight to keep blacks on the dependency plantation. ‘Uncle Tom’s Cabin,’ no. It’s now ‘Uncle Sam’s Cabin.’ That’s exactly what’s happened — ‘Uncle Sam’s Cabin.’”
