I think we can thank the Department of Education, the teachers 'labor' unions and what used to pass as the Fourth Estate in this country. 50+ years of dumbing down the population has brought the Nation down to it's current level!

I'm sure you can come up with other reasons for the downturn so list them here.

Never lose track that you should never underestimate the stupidity of the American electorate.
