A economic & political pathNo image available

Prior to the 1970s, the main stay of the Democrat's vote was white ethnic groups. Most of these people descendened from immigrants from the 1850s to 1900s. Now their descendents are more likely to vote Republican than Democrat.

The Democrats are looking for nonwhites to make up the difference. The majority will be Hispanics, some are the children or grandchildren of immigrants in the 1970s or later.

Is it possible that Hispanics will follow the economic & political path of the white ethnics?
