15 Lies of Liberalism
Made popular 143 days ago in
Politics
townhall.com —
Liberalism offers up a utopian vision of the world and then invites its practitioners to feel good about themselves for embracing it. Not only does this beautiful fantasy world never come to pass, liberalism fails to address the root causes of the problems it sets out to solve while creating whole new disasters in the process. In other words, it's a never ending circle. There's a problem, liberalism is offered up as the solution, it doesn't work and creates more problems, for which liberalism is offered up as the solution, etc., etc., etc. until you're starving, bankrupt, or your society is tearing itself apart at the seams.
Liberalism says that....
1) ...it's all about choice -- unless you want to choose which gun or lightbulb to use, which school your child will attend, or you’d prefer more freedom and smaller government.
2) ...it cares about the environment, when in practice, not only do liberals like Al Gore live some of the most resource-wasting and ostentatious lifestyles on the planet, but they hurt the environment by blocking environmentally friendly energy production here in favor of energy sources from nations that care little about pollution.
3) ...you can have lots of free government services and somebody else will pay for them. The trillion dollar deficit we're running every year that will have to be paid back says otherwise.
4) ...as long as you use birth control that someone else is forced to pay for, there are no consequences whatsoever to having lots and lots of sex. Meanwhile, more than 50 million children have been killed by their own mothers via abortion and 1 out of every 4 adults in New York City has herpes.
5) .... "government will make you smarter, taller, richer, and remove the crabgrass on your lawn." Do you know anyone with crabgrass on his lawn? DO YOU?
6) ...it's all about compassion and taking care of the less fortunate, unless liberals have their own money on the line, in which case they give less to charity than those stingy, greedy, heartless conservatives.
7) ...you shouldn't take your Christian faith seriously, that political correctness matters more than the Bible, and that mocking God has no consequences. Ever heard someone say, “Don't pick fights with people who buy ink by the barrel?” Well, if liberals were smarter, they wouldn't be picking a fight with an omnipotent God who buys lightning bolts by the barrel and has a well earned reputation for getting fed up every once in awhile and dishing out "Old Testament style wrath" on His enemies.
8) ...how much our country spends can be dictated by our wants, as opposed to what we can afford. Of course, if the world really works this way, Greece would be fine, nobody would have ever heard of the word "bankruptcy," and the banks wouldn't even bother to write down your name when you borrow money from them.
9) ...liberals want unity and bipartisanship, which they apparently believe they can accomplish by spewing pure hatred and smearing, demonizing, threatening, and lying about anyone who disagrees with them.
10) ...it’s going to deliver equality of outcomes for everyone, which is true, if by "delivering equality of outcomes" you mean "make everyone poorer."
11) ...it cares about women -- unless they're conservative women, in which case liberals will insult them in the vilest of terms, attack their children, call them whores and laugh and hoot at the most grotesque sexist attacks against them. Every last insult

Is liberalism a mental disorder?
Yes, look at the admitted liberals. They look like escapees from "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest".Ex: Dennis Kucinich, Fortney "Pete" Stark, Sheila Jackson-Lee, Alan Grayson and a multitude of others and that's just in the Congress of the USA!

Yes it is a mental disorder. They’re pissed because most won’t go along with their “Wrong is right” philosophy.

Both parties have the “Wrong is right” philosophy, and if you have a look at Newt Gingrich, Michelle Bachmann, Rick Santorum, Perry or McConnell, they do not look too sane or attractive either.
Bush II talked a lot about compassion, but failed to act on that. He loved to refer to the Bible, but does not have read or understood any of it. Bush talked a lot about bipartisanship, about being a uniter, not a divider, but he was as crappy as Obama is when it comes to work with the opposition.Bush did not care about what America was able to afford, he was more along the lines of "Don't worry, spend some borrowed money to forget 9/11 and be happy." He turned the surplus into that black hole of debt that Obama inherited and widened ever since.
There is not much difference between the two parties, if you look closer. I envy other countries where you have 4 or 5 different parties who have to find compromises in coalitions. In America, it is always tit for tat, I will have my revenge served cold.
BTW, you conservatives should happily pay for liberal birth control. If Democrats use it, there will be less Democrats in the future...

Bish remains hopelessly delusional, and will remain so until her party has destroyed this country. It is amazing that the Democrats modus operandi is still to attack Bush, or the Republicans, anyone, except themselves.

@yaja429 Agreed. She claims to be an Independent but we know she is liberal. You can't spell liberalism without L-I-E-S.
They try everything they can to silence the opposition. Once that's complete, the lies will run rapid even more so.

@yaja429
who says I'm female?
Who says I'm a member of any party?
Both parties have good people and bad people, good policies and bad ones. There are lots of shades of grey, not just black and white, so I pick the guy/gal who seems to be more intelligent, skillful, likable, closer to what I feel is necessary for the country. Sometimes that guy comes from the Republican party, some times from the Democratic party and sometimes neither party offers a good candidate and then I pass, like I did in 1988.
No party can claim any loyalty from me.
I preferred Carter to Ford, Carter to Reagan, Reagan to Mondale, neither Bush I, nor Dukakis, Clinton to Bush I & Perot, Clinton to Dole, Gore to Bush II (but McCain to Gore AND Bush II), Kerry to Bush II, both McCain & Clinton to Obama and Romney to Obama as well.
I care about preserving the environment for future generations, I care about personal freedom, free speech and fairness. I feel that every American has the right, even the obligation to fulfill his or her American Dream, that if you work hard and play by the rules, you can succeed in America, that you should not ask what your country or a government agency can do for you, but what you can do to help your country.
If that makes me a liberal in your books, so be it.

@bish66 It's hard to say who is male and female in the liberal jackass party. With the liberal "right is wrong and wrong is right" philosophy, that also applies to the liberal gender. Male is female and female is male. That's one of tha many reasons why you people as so screw up.

@bish66
Anyone who preferred Carter, Clinton (EITHER) or Obama to anything or anyone has to be at the very least a person with a dependency problem and likely a public school education where they were heavily indoctrinated by agents of the NEA and NFT to be able to do little more than feed themselves and allow those in charge to do their thinking for them. Yes, it does look like you're a liberal from here.

@lastbaldeagle
how can anyone prefer the never elected, always stumbling Ford who immediately pardoned Tricky Dick as a pay-off to become president to down-to-earth peanut farmer Carter?
Carter or the B-movie actor and wild man Reagan? Back then I thought "Only in America..." when the Republicans nominated Reagan. Well, he surprised me and in retrospect, he turned out to be much better than expected, despite Alzheimer and short attention span. Even Obama is a fan of Reagan!!
Compassionate Clinton vs. weird Perot vs. stiff "Read my lips, no new taxes" Bush I? In that three-ring-circus, Clinton was the reasonable, most promising choice.
Clinton vs. Bob Viagra Dole (where do the Republicans find their presidential candidates? Zombie Central? The museum? The local graveyard?). Dole was so yesterdecade, a dinosaur who nobody informed about extinction of his kind.
